Hi! I'm Ingrid/Stonestrewn, thank you for writing for me!
My prompts involve a few different scenarios I'd love to see, but they are all intended as suggestions, not blueprints, and as long as you avoid my DNWs I'm incredibly easy to please. I'm a writer myself and have an easier time prompting fic than I do art. I've tried my best to include something aimed specifically to a potential artist for each request, I hope it helps a little, if art is what you make. It may not need to be said but feel free to mix and match prompts, regardless of whether I've aimed them towards fic or art, to your heart's content!
I've copypasted parts of this letter from past ones, including some of the prompts. This in no way means I'm less excited about receiving gifts for the repeat requests! I'm just a simple woman whose simple tastes don't change much between seasons.
General Notes:
I'm fine with any rating, and I like curtain fic as much as plotty, involved stories. I'll happily read fic in third, second and first person. If you have an interesting idea for the format I'm interested to see what you come up with - one of my favorite things about fic is how well it lends itself to literary experimentation, so knock yourself out. Fic in the form of in-universe documents and fictional retellings of events that are "real" in canon is always exciting.
With art, too, any rating is fine, as long as you respect my DNWs. I generally enjoy style experimentation with visual mediums as well, and don't mind tweaks to existing character designs. I always, always love seeing characters who in canon are in their 20s and 30s and 40s imagined in their older years, so consider that an art prompt that applies to every single request.
Likes:
- I'm extremely fond of schmoopy tropes like friends to lovers and requited pining, and dramatic and emotional declarations of love will get me every time. The "oh no! the person I've been telling myself I don't love is in peril and I must desperately scramble to save them and also this makes me realize I can't live without them!" plot is a guaranteed success with me.
- I'm also extremely fond of the opposite of the above, of people going from lovers to enemies, of resentment and rivalry contorting feelings of love and loyalty and of people knowing that being involved with a person is bad and is bound to bring disaster, but being unable to stop themselves from giving in to temptation.
- Non-sexual intimacy, hand-holding and hugs and kisses and grooming and sensual touch.
- Competent people being very, very good at what they do and getting ample opportunity to show it off and be admired for it.
- Body diversity, both in writing and in art.
- When it comes to porn I like D/s, fingering, loyalty kink, possessiveness, praise kink, size difference, hairpulling, painplay and restraints.
Do Not Wants:
- Non-con. Characters pushing their own boundaries with sex, making bad decisions and feeling resentment, regret and discomfort during or after the act, certainly, but I don't want anyone to be forced or persuaded to do anything.
- Un-requested AUs, including major changes to canon events.
- Body fluids, saliva in particular.
- Descriptions/depictions of bleeding cuts, scrapes and incisions. Weirdly enough, I'm perfectly fine with gore and larger, more serious external injuries.
- A/B/O.
- When it comes to porn I'm not a fan of scat, watersports, bloodplay, orgasm denial and ageplay. No characters under 18 in sexual situations, please.
Temeraire
William Laurence/Tenzing Tharkay
I'm in it for the romance, if I'm honest. Their relationship in the books is hopelessly romantic to me - Laurence regaining his memory when seeing Tharkay is fantastic, incomparable, outstanding. I get really schmoopy about what I think is them being so obviously smitten with each other, but there's also a lot of complicating factors in their different backgrounds, societal positions and wildly different temperaments and outlooks that could be fascinating to explore. Some prompts:
- I'd love something domestic, slice of life-ish about the two of them post canon, living at Tharkays estate. A family can be two confirmed bachelors and a dragon, and so on. I have so many questions about what their happy ending together looks like, what they get up to, how they adjust to merging their lives. Seeing the first transition period while essentially setting up a shared household would be delightful.
- The books are full of times when they've had to huddle for warmth, or save one another, and I can't get enough. Missing scenes or fleshing out canon moments (hurried, impulsive sex while on the adrenaline high? huddling turned cuddling turned exploratory fondling?) would be wonderful, I yearn for the subtext to be turned into fic.
- Stories digging into their cultural and personal differences, something not quite so fluffy, would be fantastic, too. I'll be honest here and admit I don't know exactly what I'm looking for, but I'm essentially encouraging you to veer away from domestic bliss and towards the complicated parts of their relationship, if you want.
- ART PROMPTS: Domestic scenes! Breakfasts in morning rooms and reading in bed and kissing in beautiful gardens and whatever a regency couple might get up to at their estate. I'm going to suggest huddling for warmth here, too, and just any little moments of intimacy stolen during their adventures. Or maybe the pivotal scene of Laurence finding Tharkay and his memories, illustrated?
Dishonored
I generally prefer a worldstate with low chaos endings and Billie saving the Outsider by the end of Death of the Outsider. If you have a great idea that requires high chaos, though, I'm still curious to see it and would encourage you to show me.
Breanna Ashworth/Delilah Copperspoon
The way Delilah reacts with fury at Emily if you strip Breanna of her powers and basically acts like it means Breanna is now broken and useless really chills me. There are elements to their relationship in canon that points to seriously skewed dynamics, and I won't lie: it's a big part of what draws me to them. At the same time Delilah did save Breanna from a life of unhappiness and they seem to have truly meant something to each other. There's a lot to dig into there, I think. Some prompts:
- Tell me more about their first meeting and the first few years they had together! Was it love at first sight? For both of them? Did Delilah see Breanna as a useful tool she later developed affectionate feelings for, or did she gradually distance herself from what started as a genuine love story? What did they get up to, how did people around them react, were they discreet or confrontative about their liaison? What manner of gay crimes did they commit? I want all the scoops.
- I would really, really, really love fic about them as grown, middle age women as well. What was their relationship like as they built up the coven? When Delilah's ambitions grew and became centered around her own power, her own worlds, how did Breanna feel about it? What was it like during the years Delilah was banished from the world and Breanna worked to bring her back? Was Delilah any different when she returned? They're career witches, and I wonder about all the ways their often gruesome work put strain on the relationship, especially with Breanna esentially being involved with her boss.
- Trippy magic sex! What if.... one of the ways Delilah shares her powers are through sex? I'd happily read that. Any kind of porn that makes use of their magical powers (including plant vines, heyo), is something I'm into, if you want to make something with an explicit rating.
- ART PROMPTS: Show me some of their hedonistic witchy ways! Dancing naked and blood smeared under the moon, starlit picnics with wine and cheese on dangerously high rooftops, romantic city guard murder sprees... Or, scenes from the more mundane parts of their lives. Breanna posing for sketches, Delilah napping spreawled over Breanna's lap while Breanna does paperwork (she kept her day job, after all), or lazy, luxurious breakfasts in bed.
Billie Lurk & The Outsider
I loved Death of the Outsider to bits. Billie playing such a pivotal role in the Dishonored universe was fantastic, and I really enjoyed both the exploration of Billie as a character as well as the plot and the delve into the very foundations of her world. And the ending left things in such an exciting place! With these two, I just want to know what happens. Some prompts:
- If Billie saves the Outsider and he is human again, what is that like? Does Billie appreciate reintroducing him to mortality and having a physical body and all that comes with it? Or does she see him more as an inconvenience? I'd love to see their relationship as fellow humans explored, be it as friends growing close, comrades bound by fate or guilt or feelings of responsibility, or as people who feel much more ambivalent towards each other. Do their goals, wants and needs even line up? What would happen if they're completely at odds? I don't know! It's exciting! Show me what their days look like together in this world without a god, where a man who died millennia ago is being introduced to indoor plumbing.
- I saved the Outside in my own playthrough, but I'd be really interested in reading something where Billie does go through with killing him, too. Maybe you'd like to flesh out their interactions leading up to her traversing the Void a little more? Or play around with the possibilities for time loops opened by the game? If Billie could do it over, would she still kill him? And if so, why? I love the Outsider and sparing him made me feel so happy, but I'm inviting you to break my heart and crush all my hopes and dreams here, I thrive on tragedy.
- Time travel and loops and what not could make for really fun, plotty stories in general, regardless of ending or the nature of their relationship. I've listed canon divergence in my DNWs, but if you want to break up the timeline a little, have Billie or the Outsider go back in time and stir things around, or have the fabric of time unravel around them and them having to do something about it, please do.
ART PROMPTS: Let them take a break, honestly. I'm a sucker for art that show them getting up to ordinary, everyday things: reading the newspaper, eating jellied eels, watching the ships at port, or anything at all like that. Affectionate touch, like tousling hair or an arm slung over the other's shoulders is also something I'd love to see. Art with a darker tone that shows the both of them in the Void, either in Billie's dreams or when she goes there physically is also something I'd be really into.
Additionally, I tend to think of their relationship as platonic when left to my own devices, but I'd be really interested in reading something that veers shippy, as well. I'd also be super onboard with featuring side ships for either of them. For the Outsider I primarily like him with Corvo or Emily. I don't ship Billie with any men, but would love to see her with any woman. Any and all, OCs included.
Critical Role
I'm all caught up on the Vox Machina campaign, including the one-shots. Still catching up on the Mighty Nein so no references to events in the second campaign, please.
Vex/Keyleth
I only recently realized that this is a ship I'm very, very into, and now I'm so excited about all the possibilities. The women in the first campaign didn't spend a whole lot of time interacting, comparatively, but I liked what we saw of Keyleth and Vex's dynamic a lot. They clearly admire and respect each other, and I think it's a given that Keyleth was equally into both the twins, and that what made her and Vax end up together was that he's the one who made a move on her. I see a lot of potential for sweetness here - but also a lot of potential angst, what with it not necessarily being an easy thing to fall in love with your dead brother's girlfriend, or to move on with your dead lover's twin. Which angle you pick is entirely up to you. Some prompts:
- Vex is going to outlive Percy, and I've been thinking about this scenario where a widowed Vex leaves Whitestone in the hands of her eldest daughter and leaves for Pyrah for a while, on Keyleth's invitation. And then they grieve together and do some fun things together, and watch the sunset and what have you, and most importantly they grow closer, and old, half-realized feelings start to surface.... Anything set after they've both lost their male partners to age and destiny and find new love with each other would be terrific, really.
- Vex gives Keyleth her first kiss with a woman! Maybe set before Keyleth and Vax gets together, and after the Kashaw kiss? Just, Vex being a good friend and satisfying Keyleth's curiosity on what it would be like to kiss a woman, you know, like a friend. But it makes them both feel some things, wow.
- In the aftermath of Vax's death, they end up colliding in a mess of grief and affection and lust and anger. I've already mentioned that I think there might be some difficulties involved with falling for your sister-in-law, and if you'd like to dig into that, the guilt and ambivalence, I'd love to read it. Don't feel like you absolutely have to resolve any angst and land on a happy ending, either. I'm definitely up for fic that twists the knife.
- ART PROMPTS: Man, some good old steamy make-outs would hit the spot, for sure. Or some less sexually charged intimacy, like Keyleth braiding flowers into Vex's hair, or the two of them napping curled up together next to Trinket, or vacationing on the beach in Dalen's Closet. If you'd like to illustrate something from my first fic prompt up there with the two of them in Pyrah, with a visibly older Vex and timeless Keyleth, that would be delightful as well.
One last note: I personally like both Vax/Keyleth and Vex/Percy a lot, and I'd rather you go for open relationships if setting something during a time in their lives when their male partners are still alive (I really enjoy polyamory negotiations, if you want to center something around figuring that stuff out!).
Wayfarers Series
I finished The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet two days ago! Which also means I haven't read any of the later books in the series. I'm requesting works set during the first book, with the Wayfarer crew, so as to avoid spoilers.
Rosemary Harper/Sissix Seshkethet
I love them! I love me some good interspecies f/f, and Sissix is just so appealing, both her personality and her looks. Her and Rosemary are both lovely characters, and I adore their dynamic. All my requests here are for light and fluffy things, because my thoughts and feelings on them are all light and fluffy. Some prompts:
- Would love some straight up porn, if I'm honest. Some giggly, happy, exploratory smut, where they delight in discovering each other and the differences between their bodies. I list some kinks in my general likes above, and if you want to write any of them with these two, that would be amazing, especially in the context of some really sweet, happy, communicative porn.
- We never really get to see them in private after they start sleeping with each other, and I want it so bad. Give me morning afters! The cuddles! The casual hanging out! Binging vid series together, or makeout sessions that never get to sex, just really sexy intimacy. What do they talk about when it's just the two of them? What do they like to do together on the Wayfarer when no one is watching and they're not getting naked?
