Dear recipient! So sorry for getting this letter up a couple of days after assignments went out! If you've already started working on your gift then feel free to disregard anything I say here - as long as you don't hit any of my DNWs you're golden. But if you're still figuring out what to do and wants more concrete prompts to go off, here they are, if late.

Again, I apologize for the inconvenience.

As a note: I tend to re-use parts of old letters because I'm lazy, which means some prompts may be copied from past exchanges. That doesn't mean I'm less invested in them, or that I want the others more, just that my tastes don't change much from month to month and I always want more of a good thing.

Hi! I'm Ingrid/Stonestrewn, thank you for writing for me!

My prompts involve a few different scenarios I'd love to see, but they are all intended as suggestions, not blueprints, and as long as you avoid my DNWs I'm incredibly easy to please. I'm a writer myself and have an easier time prompting fic than I do art. I've tried my best to include something aimed specifically to a potential artist for each request, I hope it helps a little, if art is what you make. It may not need to be said but feel free to mix and match prompts, regardless of whether I've aimed them towards fic or art, to your heart's content!

I've copypasted parts of this letter from past ones, including some of the prompts. This in no way means I'm less excited about receiving gifts for the repeat requests! I'm just a simple woman whose simple tastes don't change much between seasons.

General Notes:

I'm fine with any rating, and I like curtain fic as much as plotty, involved stories. I'll happily read fic in third, second and first person. If you have an interesting idea for the format I'm interested to see what you come up with - one of my favorite things about fic is how well it lends itself to literary experimentation, so knock yourself out. Fic in the form of in-universe documents and fictional retellings of events that are "real" in canon is always exciting.

With art, too, any rating is fine, as long as you respect my DNWs. I generally enjoy style experimentation with visual mediums as well, and don't mind tweaks to existing character designs. I always, always love seeing characters who in canon are in their 20s and 30s and 40s imagined in their older years, so consider that an art prompt that applies to every single request.

Likes:
- I'm extremely fond of schmoopy tropes like friends to lovers and requited pining, and dramatic and emotional declarations of love will get me every time. The "oh no! the person I've been telling myself I don't love is in peril and I must desperately scramble to save them and also this makes me realize I can't live without them!" plot is a guaranteed success with me.
- I'm also extremely fond of the opposite of the above, of people going from lovers to enemies, of resentment and rivalry contorting feelings of love and loyalty and of people knowing that being involved with a person is bad and is bound to bring disaster, but being unable to stop themselves from giving in to temptation.
- Non-sexual intimacy, hand-holding and hugs and kisses and grooming and sensual touch.
- Competent people being very, very good at what they do and getting ample opportunity to show it off and be admired for it.
- Body diversity, both in writing and in art.
- When it comes to porn I like D/s, fingering, loyalty kink, possessiveness, praise kink, size difference, hairpulling, painplay and restraints.

Do Not Wants:
- Non-con. Characters pushing their own boundaries with sex, making bad decisions and feeling resentment, regret and discomfort during or after the act, certainly, but I don't want anyone to be forced or persuaded to do anything.
- Un-requested AUs, including major changes to canon events.
- Body fluids, saliva in particular.
- Descriptions/depictions of bleeding cuts, scrapes and incisions. Weirdly enough, I'm perfectly fine with gore and larger, more serious external injuries.
- A/B/O.
- When it comes to porn I'm not a fan of scat, watersports, bloodplay, orgasm denial and ageplay. No characters under 18 in sexual situations, please.

Hi, Dear Femex Creator! I'm Ingrid/Stonestrewn, and I'm so excited to see what you'll make for me. <3 I haven't done Femex in a while and it feels so good to come back to what might be my favorite fandom event of the year. Rest assured that whatever you make for me I'll be thrilled to receive it.

An Incomplete Collection of Improper Conversations (6,461) by Stonestrewn
Rating: Teen and Up Audiences
Warnings: Mentions of domestic abuse
Relationships: Female Archer/Female Charge She's Protecting
Summary: Aud has been putting her archery skills out for hire for years. Escorting young noble ladies are routine jobs until she meets Yngvild, the impulsive, impetuous and charming Lady of the Star. Aud is smitten, and the feeling is mutual. Over the years their relationship grows in secret, stolen moments. Also: a royal murder, two wild escapes and several crude jokes.

Excerpt: Her charge propositions her the first night over dinner.

“Only if you want, of course,” Yngvild says, tucking her sleek dark hair behind her ear. Her emerald earrings glimmer in the lantern light. So do her deep brown eyes. “I’ll still make sure daddy gives you a good reference if you’d rather not.”

Aud swallows the spoonful of porridge she nearly choked on in her surprise.

“I thought you were a virgin,” she says, too thrown off balance to maintain proper tactfulness.

“Well, technically. I haven’t had a man’s cock inside me, so it counts. Right?”

The word ‘cock’ from the rose petal mouth of the Frostwell Valley virgin, daughter to Lord of the Star, is slightly surreal. Yngvild rests her pointy chin in her dainty hands, her flowing dress pooling around her small feet in delicate silk slippers.

“Right?” she asks again.

My fic for this year's Chocolatebox, for [personal profile] lionessvalenti! I haven't had this much fun writing in a long time, and I've been floored by the positive response to it so far.

Many, many thanks to [profile] chocochipbisquit for jumping in to give this a speedy, efficient beta with very little heads-up. A true hero and a friend.

The spring semester was supposed to start last tuesday, but for some reason my course was moved forward one week, so I got an extra week of winter vacation. I spent the time cleaning, taking walks in the snow (it's been pretty cold and snowed a lot! It's great!) and avoiding things online. Or, avoiding isn't exactly the right word, I've just been checking social media when I felt like it, not out of an obligation to keep up. And I've mostly not felt like it. It's been nice! Social media is something I've struggled with for a while... How to keep up, how to stay in touch reliably, how to participate in fandom and not have it turn stressful or leech too much of my very limited daily focus. Maybe it will just fall into place on its own once I finally get a regular, firm schedule for a longer period of time.

Also, I had roleplaying sessions on Friday night as well as Sunday which was super nice as well. Spring rp season has started and I'm extremely excited. My main group, Twilight Sentinels, have our first session on the 16th and I'm counting the days.

Classes start tomorrow, my internship in a month... And I've joined an SFF book club! It's an existing group of eight people and I'll be joining them for the first time in mid March. It's some time away still, but I look forward to it a lot.

In other news: fandoms, under the cut!

GetYourWordsOut: Year Eleven!
Pledges & Requirements | GYWO.net

I signed up for Get Your Words Out! I've never done it before and I hadn't even heard about it before [personal profile] chocochipbiscuit talked about it, but it seems like a good way to get a more concrete incentive to establish a regular writing habit this year. I pledged to get 120 days of writing done this year, the least intensive pledge. It feels like a realistic goal. My life stucture is hopefully going to change a lot this year so I don't want to bite off more than I can chew. Also, a goal of days means getting away from a focus on word count and instead consciously including the entire writing process in my idea of writing. And I think that can be good!

If anyone else wants to join me, last day to pledge is tomorrow!

In other news, I've drafted my chocolatebox fic today and I'm really excited to write it, the prompt it fantastic, and I'm counting down the days for the release of Sunless Skies, I'm so ready for another version of my favorite game of all time. How are the rest of you?

Hi, I am Ingrid/Stonestrewn on AO3 and I'm really sorry for not having this up before now, I was knocked out by illness and couldn't sit up, much less type. But, I'm very excited about this exchange and I hope you'll have a great time with whatever you make for me!

I write long, detailed prompts because I'm wordy and hype myself up as soon as I start thinking about my requests, but you shouldn't feel beholden to them in any way. They're guidelines, not blueprints, and as long as you avoid my DNWs I'm incredibly easy to please. If you enjoy yourself, I'm sure I will, too.

Following in [personal profile] storms footsteps and doing this retrospective book meme for 2018! A little late because I got distracted halfway through and wandered off and forgot about this for days, but I read a lot of books I loved to bits and I want to talk about them. Here is my Goodreads year in review, to start with.
